ART 456: Advanced Photography & Imaging - Color Photography and Digital Imaging

University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Fall 2024

This is an advanced level photography course focusing on using color photography and digital imaging for image making and project building. Part of this course will be dedicated to the technical where we will review and sharpen different Photoshop techniques and discussing digital workflow allowing you to bring these techniques into your respective art practices. Furthermore, students will learn best printing practices as well as delve into large-format printing. While the other part of the course will focus on building your own artistic voice by bringing your point of view to assigned photo projects culminating in a cohesive final photo series forming a photo book. The skills acquired in this course will support students’ creative endeavors as professional artists and image makers.

ART 176: Digital Photography for Non-Majors

University of Wisconsin-Madison, Fall 2021 and Fall 2022

The following works are a collection of images from students who took ART 176 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This course is an introductory level photography course specifically designed for non-art majors. Students learned the basics of manual camera controls, and through different projects began to learn how to use the photographic medium as an art form.
